The river with its tributaries from the mighty Himalayan heights from Dolpo region is a fishing paradise. In spite of its richness of flow with varied water temperature and underwater current, this is almost a migratory path for many fresh water fishes yet least explored in term of angling in Nepal. Rafting trip with Fishing in this Bheri River starts from Ramnaghat a tributary junction of the Thuli and Sani rivers. It’s a long journey to get to the point of start from Kathmandu as it lies in the far flung area of western part of Nepal. A trip that compensates all terms of difficulties. If prefer to take a flight Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, then a 3-4 hours drive is required to reach Samjhighat, the put in point.

 Rafting Itinerary

 

Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj / flight time one hour. Our representative will be at the airport with a waiting vehicle. Drive to River put in point at Ramnaghat / Samjhighat. We camp for the night.

Day 02: Samjhighat / Kumalgaon

After breakfast we start our trip at the first section of the Bheri River that is quite rough with many bends and a few rapid in the beginning. A hearty lunch prepared by our supporting staff in the most hygienically way will be served beside the river. After some rest you could for explore the surrounding areas, watching several species of birds or simply laze in the midday sun or you could lay your hand on some angling. Later in the day we hit some more white-water rapids with few angling chances and come to end of our trip for the day in one of lovely beaches in most suitable surrounding.

Day 03: Kumalgaon / Jamu

This is another very exciting section of the river with areas for some angling. The river passes through narrow gorge with vertical cliffs of 200 -300 feet on either side interspersed with open valley where a few small villages come in sight. As we drift angling down the river the landmarks are truly fascinating and of course striking with several encounter with white-water rapids. We end the day to settle for a camp in one of the beaches as pristine as the Rive itself.

Day 04-05: Jamu / Chisopani

This point onwards is the main area of interest with plenty of fishing all the way down to Chisapani where we end our trip late in the evening on the fifth day of our trip. Overnight last camp of the trip.

Day 06: Drive to Nepalgunj and connect your flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to your Hotel. End of service.
